Trash Art Show Seeking Submissions

The Trash Art Show is a unique local tradition and creative fundraiser for CARTM.

The 2016 event will be at the Gallery at North County Recreation District (NCRD), the show’s new permanent location in Nehalem, with lots of open and well lit space for your art, and plenty of parking for art lovers.

Artists may submit up to three pieces of work for the show. There is no entry fee and the only stipulations are that all artwork must be created with recycled, repurposed or reused materials and must fit through a standard size door. The work must be for sale. Sales receipts are split evenly between the artist(s) and CARTM.

Submit work to the Gallery at the NCRD, 36155 9th St, Nehalem, Oregon 97131, on May 11, 2016 between 1 and 5 p.m. Each submitted piece must have a title and be ready to hang or display.

CARTM, www.cartm.org, is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and is a registered partner with the Oregon Cultural Trust.

Dan Haag
Born and raised in the great white north of Minnesota, Dan Haag felt the pull of the north Oregon Coast in the early 90s. Finding that rain never needed to be shoveled, he married an Oregon girl and settled in Manzanita, where he works as director of the Manzanita Visitors Center. He is also a freelance writer whose work has appeared in a variety of state and national publications. He spends his free time wandering the area’s many trails, supporting the Oregon wine and beer industry, perusing coastal bookstores, and chasing his black Labrador, Lilo, along the beach.
