It happens to all of us. Your heading down Highway 101 and your stomach reminds you it’s way past lunch time. You’re hungry, but a burger just won’t cut it.
If you’re in Manzanita, you’re in luck!
A Mighty Thai opened its doors in the summer of 2016 and Manzanita diners can’t get enough.
Immediately off Highway 101 on Manzanita Avenue, this bustling little restaurant in the distinct yellow and orange building, offers a wide variety of traditional, delicious Asian dishes: Pad Thai, Salad Rolls, Yellow, Red and Green Curry, Pho. Try a Bánh Mì sandwich, a product of French colonialism in Indochina, combining ingredients from the French with native Vietnamese ingredients. Everything comes at different levels of spice settings, just in case you need a little extra warmth after a rainy walk on the beach.
Whatever your appetite, A Mighty Thai’s offerings brim with exciting flavors and fresh ingredients, just right for fueling up for a trek to the top of nearby Neahkahnie Mountain.
The interior is cozy with several tables and a full bar. On warm spring and summer evenings, patrons can take advantage of the newly expanded outdoor patio area.
Owned and operated by partners Joel Bernard (who also co-owns Sleepy Monk Coffee in Cannon Beach) and chef Joe Khongkhar Bongkhamsao, A Mighty Thai is the only restaurant of its kind in the area. Judging by the reception thus far, locals and visitors alike are heartily embracing this addition to Manzanita’s palette.
A Mighty Thai is located at 725 Manzanita Avenune, right off of Highway 101. For hours and specials, call (503).368.8424
