Looking for that perfect beach house get away at the coast? Or perhaps you’re ready to settle down at the coast, possibly in your first home? Or maybe you have decided to invest in rental properties? You have come to the right place. Dave knows the area, knows the houses, and know the importance of finding that perfect home for you, your family, and even your four-legged loved ones. Dave brings 26 years of sales and marketing experience and is a skilled negotiator who delivers excellent client service.
He grew up in Ohio going to University of Toledo in order to get his BBA in accounting, and then to Western Michigan University for his MBA, but is happy to finally landed here, on the north Oregon coast.
Dave worked in academic publishing and library information management industries for years making information available to wide audiences for decision making. During this time, he traveled the country extensively and lived in multiple cities, eventually stumbling across Oregon. He fell in love. Thirteen years ago he left San Francisco for the Pacific Northwest drawn by the beauty, clean beaches, outdoor adventures, and the relaxed spirit.
The most important lesson Dave learned while traveling and relocating is that there is no place like a real home. Home is where we connect with friends, family, and community. Home is a sanctuary, allowing us to rejuvenate, grow, thrive, and celebrate life. And he’s found all that right here, in his remodeled 1960 beach cottage, two blocks from the ocean in a peaceful Manzanita neighborhood. He and his two Yorkshire terriers, Oscar and Alfred, are surrounded by a passionate, diverse coastal community. Let him help you find your piece of paradise at the Oregon coast.

Free Hand: originally a drawing term; now, Manzanita’s newest art shop.
The shop is nestled between Manzanita Sweets and Toylandia and tucked behind a bright red door on Laneda.
“I think when a lot of people hear ‘art store,’ they think just pencils and paint,” Knight said. “But art isn’t all drawing and painting. I offer a dabble of different mediums.”
Products for all levels of experience and age will be well-represented at Free Hand, according to Knight.
“I spent hours researching to find supplies for children, students and professionals. Local schools have drastically cut their art programs, so I am offering student discounts.”
Knight said one of the aspects of owning an art shop she is most excited about is getting to know the community of local artists and hopes Free Hand will be a community place for them.
“I know my products well, but I want to know what brands local artists like. This is for them, so don’t be afraid to come in and talk with me.
“I don’t want people to have to go to Portland or online to get specialty paints or awesome pens.”

Smyth McIntosh provides counsel to members of the business community in Manzanita and North Tillamook County, and is addressing estate planning needs for those who have retired to the area. Sarah is on the board of the Manzanita Business Alliance and active in the North Tillamook Rotary Club. Having seen both sides – borrower from a regional bank, legal counsel for a community bank – Sarah is particularly skilled at understanding and meeting the banking, property and related needs of Smyth McIntosh and Law Manzanita clients.
In addition to heading the law practice she founded, Sarah is owner and developer of Smyth Landing, a 54,000-square foot, mixed-use office-condominium complex that exemplifies the future of the state capital’s West Bay area. Together we have an opportunity to shape the landscape for the next millennium.
To preserve land and nurture conservation values in partnership with an engaged community in the Nehalem region of the Oregon Coast.
We envision a world where we live within a thriving ecosystem that includes clean water, healthy forests, habitat for diverse species of wildlife, and a strong connection between people and place.
