Celebrating Service To Others Locally During MLK Weekend

Is one of your New Years’ resolutions to be of service to others? Join the our communities during Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend as we celebrate the ideals of volunteerism and service with several special local events.
Come to the Community Volunteer Fair, Saturday, January 19 from 10 am to 3 pm at Pine Grove Community House. Several local organizations will be on hand to showcase what they do, including Hoffman Center For The Arts, Manzanita Visitors Center, Nehalem Valley Historical Society, Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve, Tillamook Estuaries Partnership, Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay Hope Chest Thrift Shop and many more!
This event will help you find the perfect volunteer opportunity for you, whether you live in the area full time, part time or just visit once a year.

On Sunday, January 20 at 5 pm, come to Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church for an art reception featuring the artwork of students from Nehalem Elementary School, Fire Mountain School, Garibaldi Grade School and several local homeschoolers. Lite refreshments will be served.
At 6 pm on Sunday the 20th, join together for the “Sound Of Love” Concert, featuring LaNicia Williams. the Neah-Kah-Nie Choir, Sedona Fire Band, and more!
All the weekend’s events are free of charge and family friendly!
