Manzanita is located in the heart of a weather "doughnut" – we frequently get sunshine, while to the north, south and in the Ocean are fog banks or weather fronts.  Legend has it Native Americans living here called this phenomenon "hole in the sky."

Whatever your weatherman or web weather services say, it pays to check it out by calling a local person at the Coast.  Beautiful days are frequently sandwiched between storms.  We can have rain and sun in the same day; sometimes at the same time!  So, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.
